The word “mom” is a palindrome, meaning it’s the same forwards and backwards. When you flip it upside down, it becomes “wow,” a word that we at Greenwell Farms believe is extremely fitting for moms. We see moms and their children on our complimentary farm tours, excitedly pointing out tropical fruit and chameleons like they’re kids themselves. Over the last several years of really learning to make coffee well, I still return time and time again to my Hario V60. As pour-over devices go it is pretty simple. It features a 60-degree angle in the shape of a cone, with ridges to prevent airlock on the filter and one large aperture at the bottom of the cone. There are a lot of opening sizes and basket shapes, but I always get reliably great coffee with the V60.

When you are as passionate about coffee as we are here at Greenwell Farms, every detail of growing, harvesting, processing, quality control, and roasting must be considered. When quality is your goal, you are constantly looking at ways to improve the final product. That of course includes packaging, and it is why we are excited to announce our re-designed Greenwell Farms Classic and Flavored series bags. After a year + of research, design, testing color schemes, re-doing, fine-tuning details, and finding a supplier, our new coffee bags have dropped!

In the coffee world, we must learn to love our coffee black and to evaluate it on its own merits. If you have always consumed your coffee with a splash of milk or a spoonful of sugar, for many “drinking it black” is a horrible experience to be avoided at all costs. Certainly, poor quality coffee would not reveal subtlety or complexity straight black, but even if you are new to specialty coffee, I encourage you to always have a sip of your specialty coffee black.
