Through a strict legal process, including years of quarantine, Gesha has been in Kona just 10 years and has already taken the industry by storm. Discovered as a unique variety in the 1930s from the Gori Gesha Forests of Ethiopia, spread throughout the South America, Gesha coffees command some of the highest prices in the specialty coffee world.
The reason is its one of a kind tea-like, depth of flavor including a long list of notes from cupping judges including Jasmine, bergamot, honeysuckle, mango, peach, raspberry, papaya, pineapple, guava, berry, lemon, orange, grapefruit, chocolate, honey, black tea, and white wine.
