Kona Typica was introduced to Hawaii from Guatemala in the 1890s and did so well that it was the predominant strain of coffee tree in Kona for the next 100 years.  If there is one coffee variety that the industry built its reputation on, Kona Typica is it.  Smooth, balanced, elegant structure with hints of cherry and chocolate.

Greenwell Farms Mauka Estate Kona Typica recently placed in the top of the 2024 Kona Coffee Cultural Festival cupping contest Heritage Division.  If you’d like to drink the classic, the one that 100% Kona Coffee built its name on, this is the one.

Every sip is a journey to tranquility.

Smooth, pure and crisp. When you want to drink the coffee of the gods, this is it. Like a good book, or fine piece of music, the Kona Typica is capable of shutting out the noise of the world and making me appreciate the day and my place, be it oh so brief, on this beautiful planet of ours. Typical isn't at all typical

Wonderful aroma and taste on this coffee. No overpowering of a single flavor. The flavors seemed to be intentional but not intense. A very full and mellow coffee. I tasted the different flavors at the beginning through the breath after the last sip. will definitely purchase again.
